Gov Dauda Swears-In 14 Newly Elected LG Chairmen
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has sworn in 14 newly elected local government chairmen, all from the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
The inauguration, held at the Government House in Gusau, was presided over by Justice Kulu Aliyu.
Governor Lawal praised the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) for conducting credible elections and emphasized the role of local councils in driving grassroots development.
He urged the chairmen to prioritize fairness, accountability, and the welfare of their communities, highlighting his administration's focus on security, education, agriculture, economic growth, healthcare, and infrastructure.
The Governor called for transparent management of public resources, inclusive governance, and active community engagement, especially with vulnerable groups. The chairmen pledged to align their efforts with the state’s development priorities.
